85-year-old billionaire has “blood pressure of a teenager”

This was in Oprah’s life extension section of her site.  In his diet:

60 minutes of cardio (walking), trains with weights

No saturated fats

Breakfast:

  • Oatmeal (steel cut, no sugar added)
  • 1 cup blueberries, 1/2 cup kiwi

Lunch:

  • 2 egg whites + 1 cup spinach, tomato, mushrooms
  • 2 slices avocado
  • 1 cup broccoli

Dinner:

  • 1 cup roasted green beans
  • 1 sliced tomato
  • 1 cup cabbage
  • 3 oz. grilled halibut

Broccoli sprouts (grows on window sill)

Smoothie with 15 different fruits and vegetables:

Red peppers with kiwi, spinach, carrots, mango, strawberries, grapes, tomatoes.

Shops at Costco for

asparagus, peppers, plums, mangos, cucumbers, bananas, cherries (make you go to the bathroom)

No Polish dogs

And he’s never hungry.

What an inspiration -  I think he eats healthier than I do. Just look at the intentional variety in his diet – he is definitely eating healthier than your average teenager.  Oh yes, The benefits of a variety-filled, whole foods diet.
