Robin Williams’ daughter named Zelda, Revenge of the Lucas, and shmorky-like animation

Saw this on reddit ‘Robin Williams and his daughter Zelda appear in the latest ad for Ocarina of Time 3D. Take my money, etc.’ rousing memories of one of the best game ever: Zelda 64. I guess Saria would be a good name too, but you have to be a fancy celebrity to pull that stuff off (otherwise the kid could grow to hate you), but it could work for naming pets.

He said both of his kids were named after video game characters…Does that mean Cody is named after the guy from Final Fight?

Robin William is the King of Hyrule

Ah… Robin Williams does look like the King of Hyrule (or the most interesting man in the world). It will be sad when he goes (think about it). I actually shook his hand when was ~11 (filming for Jack at my elementary school, and he had a son 2 years older than me named ‘Zak’)!

And saw this golden trailer on AOTS (haven’t watched the show in 3 or so years, but caught an episode and also noticed the new host Candace Bailey who recently did some gymnastic flips [in place of The Olivia Munn]):

Referencing the best Korean film: Oldboy with George Lucas. Remember the greatness of RedLetterMedia?

Also saw this on youtube’s frontpage. Videogame LA Noire is weird in that the detective draws everyone and every clue up in great detail but you never see him doing it (threw me off when first playing).

(I love this animation style of this artist) The art style and delivery reminds me of SA’s Shmorky http://www.somethingawful.com/d/flash-tub/ but it is indeed more polished. It shows that there’s room on the internet for more than 1 to get great attention for this over-the-top anime/ren&stimpy style (the look is as classic as VGcats or Penny-Arcade and probably worth investing time into… to master. I’m thinking about it myself as a interesting lifetime hobby but I wonder what the best path to learning wacom animation is (definitely have to study the cartoons I like frame by frame and ruin the magic). When you’re good at animation you can draw up real short attention-grabbers that get millions of views. The artist even mixed his choppy art style with a real voiceover videogame review of NES Castlevania (I’ve never seen someone do this way reviewing games, but it works on the internet — especially on youtube and beyond newgrounds). Edit: This narration on video game design is even better.

These are my favorite: his SF spoofs (watch these [fullscreen] and they are super short):

(fun to freeze on the Dudley pose at the end – CROSSCOUNTAH OOOOOO). You can see more of egoraptor actually designing his cartoons and interacting to his chatroom audience on his livestream archive.
